Sidekick:
Prompt Features Overview
Available Sidekick Realtime features differ depending on the EMR in use because this tool is built on top of the EMR (it is not a part of the EMR). Today, we use a Chrome extension to give you access to these features.

If you need help installing the Chrome extension and logging into the Sidekick Realtime feature see our support document: Login to Sidekick Realtime Feature: Prompt
Features Currently Available in Prompt & Application Suggestions
Sidekick Chatbot
Sidekick Chatbot is a HIPAA-compliant AI chatbot that is trained on PT specific information as well as our support documentation.
In Prompt, Sidekick Chatbot gains the ability to read the free text in your notes and can give you additional suggestions and answers based on what you’ve written.
Example Use Cases
Using the Sidekick Chatbot Chat Feature: Open Dialogue
The therapist can click on the Sidekick Chatbot logo at any time from within Prompt to access the chat.
The therapist can then prompt the chatbot with any questions or use suggestions from the chatbot. If you click on a suggestion it will populate the text in the message box, click “Send” and you’re off! Simply click the “clipboard” icon on the Sidekick Chatbot response to copy the text to your clipboard so you can easily paste it back into your note:
Example
Prompt: “What is the difference between CPT codes 97110 and 97530?”
Sidekick Chatbot Response: “CPT code 97110 represents Therapeutic Exercise, which focuses on recovering or maintaining strength, endurance, flexibility, and range of motion after disease or injury-related functional impairments. It involves activities like isokinetic exercises and lumbar stabilization.
CPT code 97530 represents Therapeutic Activities, which involves specific or whole-body movement techniques, such as bending, lifting, and transferring, to improve functional performance in areas like mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
The main difference between these codes is the type of activities involved. Therapeutic Exercise (97110) focuses on exercises, while Therapeutic Activities (97530) involves functional movements.”
Using the Sidekick Chatbot Chat Feature: Reading From the Note
Sidekick Chatbot has the capacity to see the free text in your note and will both give you prompts and base its answers in part on what you’ve written so far.
Example
In the subjective section of the note, the therapist writes a bullet point subjective list:
The therapist then clicks on Sidekick Chatbot as is given the following prompt:
Sidekick Chatbot Response: “The patient reports a three-month history of low back pain. The pain initially started when they were moving a couch and experienced an acute sharp pain while lifting. They describe the pain as radiating into the posterior thighs. The patient denies any numbness or tingling sensations. They also mention that the pain worsens with transfers and prolonged sitting. However, they have noticed that the pain improves with rest and the application of heat. On a pain scale of 0 to 10, the patient rates their pain as a 6 out of 10.”
Using the Sidekick Chatbot Chat Feature: Reading Templates
Remember, Sidekick Chatbot can read the free text in your notes. Another use case for it is when you use templates. If you have a template that you put into your note you could paste it into Sidekick Chatbot and ask it to complete the template to the best of its ability and it will attempt to do so based on the information in the free text boxes of your note.
CPT Insights in Real Time: Treat & Flow
Within evaluation and follow-up notes Sidekick Chatbot applies our CPT insights model to measure if the therapist is using the optimal CPT code based on the interventions they are writing in the note. This suggestion mode is available both within the Compact and Card views of your note. Sidekick does the following:
Reads the text from both the note details and flowsheets
Shows appropriate shift and confidence level of the prediction
NB: this model reads the “big 4” CPT codes, 97110, 97112, 97140, and 97530
The more information you have in your text the more appropriate the code shift suggestion
Code shift is recommended to best code for the written text, not for highest paying code
Example Use Cases
Example 1
The therapist selects 97110 and inputs “Squats”. Sidekick Chatbot then suggests with 95% confidence that this is more appropriately coded as 97530:
Example 2
The therapist inputs multiple exercises coded under 97530. Sidekick Chatbot gives suggestions for how to code each one the most appropriately with a confidence level:
Example 3
The therapist again selects 97530 and inputs “Treadmill”. At first, Sidekick Chatbot will suggest this is better suited for code 97110:
Then, the therapist adds additional contexts to the text and we see the suggestion change to support coding 97530:
