TABLE OF CONTENTS

PredictionHealth now features a mobile (iOS) compatible version of our Sidekick extension that works in Safari. You can download the extension on the app store here

NB: Sidekick on mobile is a Safari extension which is enabled by downloading the PredictionHealth app. This extension functions inside of Safari and sits on top of your EMR. You cannot open the extension by clicking on the app icon itself!

Getting Started with Sidekick on iOS:

  1. Download the PredictionHealth App (link)

Download the PredictionHealth app using the above link or search the app store for “PredictionHealth”:

Once you find the app, please click on download.

Please note: when you first download the app, if you click “Open” it you will receive a message prompting you to set up permissions for the extension on your mobile device. Please follow the instructions below for enabling the extension’s permissions.

To get to the search, from your device’s home screen long press + drag down from the center of your screen.

  1. Open Safari Settings

In the left hand menu scroll down until you see “Safari” and click into it.

  1. Enable the Safari Extension

Click on Safari and then scroll down until you see “Extensions”.

Select “PredictionHealth”:

On the following page, click “Allow Extensions”. Once this has been clicked, a second menu item will appear below it, check “Allow in Private Browsing” on as well.

Scroll down to the permissions section of the same page and change each permission to “Allow”:

  1. Sleep Settings

It is important to make sure that your device does not fall asleep during the recording. If your device falls asleep or turns off during a recording you risk losing the recording results!

Return to your main Settings page, navigate to “Display & Brightness” in the left hand menu, scroll down to “Auto-Lock”, and select an appropriate duration.

Depending on your device you may have more options for auto-lock times. We recommend a minimum of 30 minutes (if possible) or changing the setting to “Never”. However, if you set auto-lock to “Never” please be aware that you will manually have to turn off your screen after you are done recording so that your iOS device does not run out of battery!

  1. Restart Safari

Before the extension is fully functional, you must first restart Safari. Navigate to your App Switcher screen. On older devices this can be accessed by double tapping the home button. On newer devices, swipe up from the bottom to the middle of your screen and hold until you see the App Switcher appear. Then swipe left or right until you find Safari. Swipe up on Safari to close the app.

  1. Open Safari and Log Into Your EMR

When you open Safari you should now notice the PredictionHealth icon in your URL bar, this shows you the extension has been installed:

Navigate to your EMR website and login with your EMR credentials. Once you have logged into your EMR, you will see the PredictionHealth icon appear in the lower right corner of the page:

Click on the icon to login and enter your PredictionHealth credentials. Be sure to check the boxes next to the terms and conditions or you will not be able to use the extension!

Once you have logged in, you can change the position of the chatbot by clicking on the icon, then clicking on the ellipses in the upper right corner and clicking on “Move Widget”.

  1. Enable Microphone Access and Start Recording

When you are ready to record, simply click on the Auto-note or Dictation mode icons. You will then be prompted to allow microphone access. You must click “Allow” in order for the recording to be made!

    9. Adjust Microphone Settings (As Needed)

If Sidekick is picking up on extraneous conversations during your visits, switching your settings to “voice isolation” on the iPad improve the accuracy of your recording. You can find your microphone settings within the control center. To access this menu, swipe down from the top right corner of your screen. Click on “Mic Mode” and select “voice isolation”. We recommend testing in both isolation and standard to determine which yields more concise results!
