Sidekick:
Raintree (Web Version): Using Smart Dictation for Interventions
Overview
The Smart Dictation feature in Sidekick allows providers to verbally document interventions, ensuring higher accuracy and streamlined workflow. Currently, this functionality is exclusive to the Smart Dictation button specifically within the Raintree EMR interface.
Quickstart Guide: Recommended Workflow
If you use Auto-Note to record visits, proceed with this workflow as usual.
At the end of a visit or when the patient is performing interventions, pause the Auto-Note and use the Dictation feature to document the interventions performed.
How to Use Smart Dictation for Interventions
Accessing Smart Dictation
Click the Sidekick Smart Dictation button:
Dictating Interventions
Verbalize "Interventions" or "Activities" or something to indicate to Sidekick you are about to list the interventions/activities.
Verbally describe the interventions performed, including:
Activities completed (e.g., exercises, stretches, treatments).
Nuanced details such as sets, reps, duration, and weight.
Observations or adjustments made during the activity.
CPT Code for the interventions
Example:
"Interventions: We did three sets of 30 squats. Patient reported stiffness in the right knee, so we adjusted the tempo. Warmed up on the treadmill for 15 minutes, Therapeutic Exercises. Completed single-leg lunges, 20 reps per side, for three sets, Therapeutic Activity."
Reviewing Automatically Generated Content
Smart Dictation processes your input and organizes it:
Details are extracted and entered into structured fields such as duration, sets, reps, weights, and observations.
Comments are integrated appropriately into the comments section of the interventions or into the other sections of the note.
Editing and Inserting
Review the automatically populated fields, and if needed, make manual edits.
Click the "Insert" button to finalize and populate the intervention section in the SOAP note.
Key Features
Simplified Data Entry: Eliminates the need to manually click and fill fields such as sets, reps, weights, and durations. Instead, fields are automatically populated based on your verbal input.
CPT Insights Integration: If CPT codes are verbally specified, the system uses your expertise. If not specified, the CPT Insights model provides suggestions. When you are verbalizing CPT codes for the interventions, you can do one CPT code for each intervention or if you list a CPT code first, any intervention after that will be included in that CPT code. Please confirm the selection of CPT code for each intervention matches your intention and justification for treatment.
By following this guide, you can leverage Sidekick’s Smart Dictation feature to improve your efficiency and accuracy in documenting interventions.
