Required Template Fields to use Sidekick’s Auto-Insert Feature

Below is a chart of the fields that Auto-Note will populate to within your note templates. We recommend ensuring that your template includes all fields below in order to successfully use the Auto-Insert function within Sidekick.

Here are the steps to add the fields above to your note templates:

1. In the upper right hand corner of your note, you will see a button labeled “Forward” with three dots next to it. Click those three dots, then click “Add Content”.

2. You can then select the section of your note you’d like to add a field to, and select the checkbox to the left of the field you’d like to add. Click “Apply”.

Fields to Include within your Evaluation Template:

Subjective: Where your subjective suggestions will auto-insert will depend on what type of visit you’re currently documenting.
In an Evaluation Note, your text will auto-insert into ‘Primary Concern’ Under ‘Patient Presentation’
Objective: Auto-inserts into ‘Additional Comments’ under ‘Objective Findings’
Assessment: Auto-inserts into ‘Summary’ under ‘Diagnosis’
Plan: Auto-inserts into ‘Additional Comments’ under ‘Planned Treatment and Schedule’
Goals: Auto-inserts into ‘Problem and Goals’ in ‘Assessment’
Interventions
- Auto-inserts into ‘Activities/Interventions’ in ‘Flowsheets’ as a unique row in the table
  - Will populate resistance/sets/reps/comments if prompted by user
- Please note: only the Smart Dictation mode will capture interventions narrated by the user.

Fields to Include within your Daily Note Template:

Subjective: Where your subjective suggestions will auto-insert will depend on what type of visit you’re currently documenting.
For a Daily Note: Subjective will auto-insert into ‘Summary’ under ‘Patient Report’

Discharge Note:

We do not provide an Auto-Insert option when documenting within a discharge note. If you wish to use audio features in the discharge note, we recommend using Auto-Note and copy/pasting the results into your discharge note, or use ‘Direct Dictation’ (control + shift + Y).
