Sidekick:
Usage Metrics Guide
The Usage Metrics section provides insights into how clinicians are engaging with Sidekick, enabling your team to monitor adoption and identify trends. Recent updates have refined how we calculate and label these metrics to ensure a more accurate reflection of actual usage. These metrics are updated daily. Sidekick usage data for the previous day will be available by approximately 9:30 AM EST the following morning.

Active Sidekick Users by Week or Month
A user is considered active in Sidekick if they:
Log in to their Sidekick account, and
Perform at least one action using any of Sidekick’s features during the reporting period (e.g., a calendar month or week).
Examples of qualifying actions include:
Creating or editing notes using Auto Note or Dictation features.
Accepting and loading audio output into the note.
Utilizing AskAI to generate or refine note content.
Engaging with Real-Time CPT Insights for coding assistance.
Note: Simply logging in without engaging with any Sidekick features does not qualify a user as active.
This definition ensures that activity metrics accurately reflect meaningful user engagement with the Sidekick platform.
Notes Assisted with Sidekick by Week or Month
A note is considered "assisted with Sidekick" when any of the above Sidekick actions are performed on that note during a given week or month.
Important Details:
Single-Week or Single-Month Counting: If a note is interacted with using Sidekick features during a particular week or month, it is counted once for that time period — regardless of how many times Sidekick features were used on that note within the specified time period.
Cross-Week or Cross-Month Interactions: If the same note continues to be interacted with across multiple weeks or months (for example, initial suggestions in one month and edits using Sidekick tools in another), the note will be counted once in each time period that it was touched by a Sidekick action.
This method ensures that usage reporting accurately reflects how and when Sidekick is being utilized to support documentation workflows over time.
